Position Summary:
We are currently hiring a Tax Preparer for complex individual, trust, and business tax returns. This role is in-office/hybrid at our Anchorage, AK location and will support our growing client base with a focus on year-round engagement—not just seasonal throughput.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual (1040), trust (1041), and business (1120, 1120S, 1065) returns.
- Advise clients on tax planning, IRS correspondence, and compliance matters.
- Coordinate with attorneys, investment advisors, and fiduciaries on client accounts.
- Maintain current knowledge of tax laws and regulatory updates impacting federal and Florida tax matters.
- Ensure all filings meet internal quality standards and deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics in all aspects of service.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of direct tax preparation experience.
- Proficiency in tax software (Drake, UltraTax, or similar) and QuickBooks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with fiduciary or estate/trust taxation is preferred but not required.
- Commitment to in-office presence and availability during business hours.
