HDR is a top ten U.S. architecture, engineering, and professional services firm with a growing international practice. HDR is currently looking for a Management Consulting Analyst for the Washington D.C. office. Analysts are expected to support work opportunities related to funding evaluation, grant strategy, strategic planning, innovative project delivery analysis, and financial planning. The work typically supports national infrastructure grant programs and innovative project delivery for federally funded projects. Candidates with sound knowledge and skills in technical document development, researching and evaluating State and Federal program and funding requirements, financial analysis capabilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills will excel in this position.

In the role of Management Consulting Analyst, we'll count on you to: Research and assist in evaluating potential funding sources and program requirements and assist in writing technical documents for transportation projects and short and long-range capital improvement programs - including transit, intercity passenger rail, toll and managed lanes, freight rail, active transportation, and airport projects across all phases of the project lifecycleplanning, design, construction and operations and maintenance. Support market, demographic, economic, and land use analyses to inform infrastructure planning, investment, and development strategies. Collect, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from public, private, and proprietary sources to support client recommendations, including developing clear and concise presentations on findings. Evaluate market trends, development activity, economic conditions, and growth forecasts to assess project opportunities and risks. Support feasibility analyses involving development potential, demand drivers, revenue forecasts, and implementation considerations. Assist in the identification of projects that would be competitive for state/federal grant programs and assist in writing grant applications. Assist in developing policy approaches, procurement documents and related program implementation guidelines and strategies Support the development of public-private partnership and alternative delivery projects and prepare related project documents and guidelines. Support studies involving analysis of program delivery options for infrastructure projects. Support the development of solutions to address economic, financial, and policy issues impacting infrastructure. Develop financial models and support financial analysis of infrastructure projects. Coordinate with diverse project teams (internal and external) for data collection, project development, and technical analysis Research and write reports Prepare client presentations Support marketing of management consulting and advisory services to transportation clients nationally

Preferred Qualifications Minimum of bachelor's degree in planning, Economics, Public Finance, Business or related field, required. Master's degree preferred in Planning, Public Administration, Public Finance, Business, or related field Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required A minimum of 4 years of work experience with an emphasis on written communication skills, the understanding and assisting in the development of annual budgets, and capital improvement plans for State or municipal governments, transit agencies, railroads, ports, State Departments of Transportation, and/or Metropolitan Planning Organizations. 6 Years experience is preferred Strong analytical skills, including experience gathering and analyzing demographic, economic, market, and financial data to support strategic, data-driven recommendations. Position requires an individual with the ability to interact with clients. Public-Private Partnership knowledge or experience Local candidates preferred

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
