Job TitleManaging Director, Multifamily( Description SummaryCushman & Wakefield is seeking a Managing Director to lead its Multifamily business across Nashville and select Southeast markets. This leader will be responsible for driving new business growth, expanding relationships with existing clients, strengthening operational performance, and delivering financial results across the Residential portfolio.The Managing Director will serve as a senior client and market leader, combining business development, P&L ownership, operational oversight, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership. The successful candidate will maintain strong relationships with key client decision makers while ensuring Residential teams consistently meet or exceed client goals and Cushman & Wakefield standards.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:Create value through new business growth in Residential Portfolio’s, cross sell service lines and geographic locations for additional revenue for the firm, identify and pursue expansion of service opportunities with existing clientsDevelop/implement/enhance marketing plans for Residential Portfolios organize/lead teamproposals for new business while leveraging relationships to maximize success rateParticipate in monthly calls to share best practices and produce leads for residential clients in multiple marketsEstablish and monitor appropriate checks and balances to ensure high level of quality in operations while ensuring that Residential teams understand and exceed Client goals and objectives for each propertyNegotiate property management agreements with all clientsEnsure compliance with all management agreements, service contracts, and accounting policies and procedures as well as SOC controlsReview and approve expenditures, which exceed the authority level established for property manager per the management agreement or C&W's SOC controlsGuarantee timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reportsMaintain relationships with Client's key decision makersVerify the existence of property procedures including Operations Manual, Tenant Handbook, and Emergency Procedures per C&W's or Client's policies and proceduresCollaborate with client accounting, corporate accounting, finance, TQC, and other functional leadersDevelop the most profitable and efficient personnel model to staff each assetParticipate in national Residential task forces and/or committeesDeliver financial results (P&L responsibility), as well as preparing market level Residential budgets, including monthly variances and forecastingCOMPETENCIES:Financial AcumenCustomer Focus (internal and external) and Communication Proficiency (oral and written)Time Management Skills and People Management SkillsLeadership and proven experience in identifying, developing, and motivating team membersBusiness Development and proven track record in generating new businessExtensive experience in analyzing and negotiating commercial lease and/or contract languageDevelop the most profitable and efficient personnel model to staff each assetExcellent negotiation skills and be able to meet deadlinesIMPORTANT EDUCATION Bachelor’s Degree requiredGraduate Degree preferredIMPORTANT EXPERIENCE 10+ years of Property Management experience10+ years of Management experienceCPM and/or RPA comparable experience in a Senior Leadership roleWORK ENVIRONMENTThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
