Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing

As the Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing, reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Program Management and Strategy, you’ll have overall responsibility for leading the development and maintenance of long term supplier relationships. You’ll support proposal activities and formulate and implement SCM strategies to meet the business needs while also providing oversight to a team of sourcing project management professionals. This position requires specialized expertise in Cloud, SaaS, and information technology providers. The Senior Manager will serve as a key partner across supply chain, manufacturing, program management, and finance to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & ManagementLead, develop, and mentor a team of sourcing and agreement project managersSet team priorities, manage workload allocation, and drive accountability for resultsBuild team capabilities in negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing practicesStrategic Sourcing & NegotiationsLead negotiations for complex, high-value supplier agreements including Cloud, SaaS, and information technology contractsDevelop and execute sourcing strategies that reduce total cost of ownership and improve supplier on-time delivery performanceIdentify and qualify suppliers, conduct market analysis, and drive competitive sourcing eventsManage supplier relationships and performance to contractual commitmentsCompliance & GovernanceEnsure all sourcing activities comply with FAR/DFARS and applicable federal acquisition regulationsMaintain adherence to company procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standardsProcess Improvement & InnovationIdentify and implement process improvements to increase sourcing efficiency and effectivenessLeverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance sourcing workflows, data analysis, and decision-makingDevelop and standardize best practices, templates, and playbooks for the sourcing teamCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with supply chain, manufacturing, program management, and finance stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with program requirements and business goalsProvide sourcing expertise and risk assessments to support program proposals and executionCommunicate sourcing performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadershipRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management3+ years of experience in a people leadership roleDemonstrated experience negotiating complex supplier agreements, including Cloud and SaaS contractsStrong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal acquisition regulationsExperience in defense contracting or aerospace & defense industry procurementExceptional program management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyStrong strategic thinking and analytical capabilitiesPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fieldExperience with AI applications in procurement or supply chain operationsProfessional certifications (e.g., CPSM, PMP, CSCP)Experience managing sourcing teams supporting multiple business areas or product linesFamiliarity with ITAR/EAR compliance requirements#LI-FLEX#LI-REMOTE#LI-Hybrid Salary Note This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
