Director, Financial Planning & Performance

Signature Healthcare, a leading independent healthcare system in southeastern Massachusetts, is seeking an accomplished finance leader to serve as its next Director, Financial Planning & Performance!

The Position

• The Director, Financial Planning & Performance, is responsible for overseeing Signature Healthcare’s formal budgeting process, long-range financial forecasting, third-party reimbursement analysis, and special fiscal projects.
• Reporting to the AVP of Finance, this leader will oversee a team of two direct reports and four additional FTEs.
• Key responsibilities include leading financial planning and performance initiatives, overseeing reimbursement and budgeting functions, supporting monthly financial close activities, monitoring budget variances, preparing reimbursement-related audit documentation, and partnering closely with Revenue Cycle leadership to analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• The leader will evaluate current workflows, optimize the organizational structure, and foster continued growth and development across the finance team.
• The ideal candidate will be an experienced healthcare finance leader with expertise in reimbursement, budgeting, financial reporting, and performance analytics. This individual should possess a hands-on leadership style, strong business acumen, and the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams while partnering effectively with Executive Leadership and operational leaders.
• Experience working within complex Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement environments is highly preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; Master’s degree highly preferred.
• Fellowship in the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including at least two years in a leadership role, required.
