FINANCE

Rocket Lab’s Finance team is responsible for all financial transactions, operating as a well‑oriented machine to maximize value. The team manages policies, compliance, and reporting.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Based on‑site at Rocket Lab’s global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Senior Accountant will oversee and manage key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records and the timely preparation of financial reports.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:

Manage month‑end and year‑end closing, process journal entries, ensuring GAAP compliance. Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly. Maintain the fixed asset register, including capitalization, depreciation and disposal entries. Prepare and review trial balances and supporting schedules for financial reporting. Monitor accounts payable, GRNI and receivable processes, review aging reports and resolve discrepancies. Analyze financial data for variance and flux reporting. Assist with monthly cash forecast. Support internal and external audits, prepare documentation and respond to auditor inquiries. Act as a resource for team members, answering questions and resolving complex accounting issues. Coordinate with AR and other departments to create sales order entries. Perform other duties as assigned.

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (9+ years total work experience). Strong knowledge of GAAP. Proficiency in accounting software such as Infor Syteline, LN, CostPoint Deltek and advanced Excel skills. Proficient in Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

$88,000 – $110,000 USD
