Day-in-the-life

You open the shop, scan the work orders, and prioritize a mix of diesel and gasoline vehicles. The morning starts with diagnosing a check-engine alert on a heavy truck, then moves to brake and suspension work on a medium-duty unit. After lunch, you button up a transmission repair, log service history with precision, and set the next round of preventative maintenance so our fleet never misses a beat. Before you lock up, you finish an equipment check on compressors, pumps, and a trencher—everything is ready for tomorrow.

Core responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel- and gasoline-powered fleet vehicles.
Execute major and minor engine repairs; transmission service; and work on brake systems, steering, suspension, electrical, HVAC, hydraulic, and fuel systems.
Service and repair commercial trucks with GVWR ratings up to 80,000 pounds.
Maintain and repair compressors, generators, pumps, trenchers, and other plumbing-related equipment.

Fleet management leadership

Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for all fleet assets.
Maintain accurate repair records and detailed service histories.

What you bring

7+ years of fleet maintenance experience.
Previous experience leading or supervising a maintenance shop preferred.
Extensive hands-on background with diesel engines; medium- and heavy-duty commercial trucks; and trailers, including towing systems.
