Senior Planner

The Operations team at Sundays for Dogs spans supply chain, fulfillment, quality, and is responsible for getting a premium, perishable product into customers' hands reliably as we scale from roughly $110M toward $250M. We run on an EOS/L10 operating cadence, which means clear ownership, weekly accountability, and a bias toward solving root causes over patching symptoms. We're in the middle of standing up a formal S&OP process and rebuilding our co-manufacturing network, so there's real ground to break in this role rather than a process to simply maintain. The Sr. Planner will own the S&OP process end to end: demand planning, supply planning, and the monthly cycle that brings them together into one forecast the business can trust. You'll build the demand forecast, translate it into supply and purchasing plans across our co-manufacturing network, and own the inventory and service level outcomes that follow. This is a highly analytical, highly cross-functional role. You'll be the person who can say with confidence what we expect to sell, what we need to make, and what that means for inventory and cash. The Sr. Planner reports to the Sr. Director, Supply Chain. No direct reports today, with room to grow the team as the S&OP process matures. You'll work closely with Purchasing and Logistics on execution, with Finance on inventory and cash implications, with R&D and Quality on new recipe launches and co-manufacturing transitions, and Marketing on demand model inputs and levers. Own the monthly S&OP cycle end to end, building the demand forecast, reconciling it with supply capacity, and driving the meeting where the business aligns on one number. Build and maintain the demand forecast by SKU and channel, incorporating promotional activity, subscription trends, and new product launches. Translate the demand forecast into a supply and purchasing plan across our co-manufacturing network, flagging capacity constraints before they become stockouts. Own inventory targets and turns, balancing service level against working capital so we're neither out of stock nor overstocked. Build the reporting that gives the business a clear, trusted view of forecast accuracy, inventory health, and supply risk. Partner with Purchasing and Logistics to convert the supply plan into purchase orders and inbound schedules that actually land on time. Flag and help resolve OOS risk early, working with Marketing, Fulfillment and Customer Care so the business isn't surprised by a stockout. What success looks like: First 30 days: Full visibility into current demand and supply data, forecast history, and open OOS risks, with a documented view of how planning works today across every SKU and facility. First 90 days: A monthly S&OP cycle running on a fixed cadence with a documented process, feeding a single forecast that Purchasing, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain leadership all plan against. Ongoing Metrics: Forecast accuracy, fill rate, and inventory turns tracked and reported on a consistent schedule, with OOS incidents caught and flagged before they hit the customer. 30/60/90 Plan: The scorecard (metrics of performance) and the 30/60/90 day plan for the Sr Planner role is met. We'd love to hear from you if you have: You have 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or S&OP, ideally in a food, CPG, or DTC subscription business. You have proven experience building or running an S&OP process, not just participating in one someone else designed. You have strong Excel or modeling skills and are comfortable building your own forecasts rather than relying on someone else's output. You have experience planning across a multi-facility or co-manufacturing network, including navigating capacity constraints and lead times. You have the ability to work cross-functionally and hold your ground on the numbers when priorities compete. You have a track record of catching risk early and communicating it clearly, rather than letting it surface as a surprise. You have the ability to operate with real autonomy in a fast-growing environment where you're building process as you go.
