Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shift (Day/Night) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Hours: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, with potential to float to other units serving the same patient population
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as part of ongoing patient monitoring and telemetry care
• Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility protocols and competency standards
• Participate in rotating holiday coverage, working at least every other holiday as required
• Complete facility orientation requirements including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with an acceptable passing score
• Maintain active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no license hits accepted
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry (combined experience acceptable; preferred within one location)
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
• Active ACLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active NIHSS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required (co-worker references will not be accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single facility for the required specialty period is preferred, though combined experience will be considered
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and medication administration competency assessments
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care or large hospital system setting
