Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, as you will be visiting patients in their homes throughout San Francisco. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations with patients to assess their physical conditions and understand their symptoms.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Educate patients on therapeutic exercises, ensuring they understand proper techniques to facilitate recovery.
• Employ various physical therapy modalities, such as massage and motor stimulation, to promote healing and restoration of function.
• Assist patients in the proper use of adaptive equipment, including wheelchairs and walkers, ensuring safety and effectiveness during mobility.
• Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining accurate records that track goals and rehabilitation outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support to patients and their families on at-home treatment options and exercises, fostering independence in their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes individuals of all ages and physical conditions, ranging from young children with developmental challenges to adults recovering from surgeries or managing chronic pain. You will engage with each patient uniquely, tailoring your approach based on their specific diagnoses and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; candidates with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) are preferred.
• Possession of a valid state license to practice physical therapy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient computer skills, including word processing and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
• A flexible and adaptable demeanor, able to meet the varying needs of our patients.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy, particularly in home care or outpatient settings, is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
