Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in New Hyde Park, NY. Job Details: Schedule: 8am to 4pm (5 days/wk) Location: New Hyde Park, NY 11042 Job Type: Local Contract Contract Length: 6 months (with possible extension or conversion) Pay Range: $21.00 to $23.00/hour* *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Duties:

• Obtain and document patient vital signs and perform EKGs.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens.
• Room patients, update medical histories, and prepare for provider visits.
• Assist with prescription requests, patient messages, and clinical inquiries.
• Assist providers with patient testing and clinical procedures.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Certification(s): Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Years of experience: 1 year of Medical Assistant experience is needed.
