Radiology Technologist

Job Description The Registered Radiology Technologist performs medical imaging examinations under the direction of a physician. Posting Details Shift: Full‑time (36 hours), Thursday/Friday/Saturday 9:00 am – 9:30 pm. Location: Platte Valley Hospital, Brighton, Colorado. Hourly Rate: $29.14 – $44.94 (actual rate depending on experience). Responsibilities Produce x‑ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist, ensuring clear and undistorted films; position and instruct patients regarding x‑ray procedures. Perform x‑ray procedures using portable machine as requested by the Emergency Department and nursing units. Process films for radiologists following established procedures and communicate with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians both in person and via telephone. Maintain x‑ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; perform preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis and contact outside service for major malfunctions per established guidelines. Promote effective working relations and work effectively as part of a department/unit team both inter‑ and intra‑departmentally to facilitate the department’s ability to meet its goals and objectives. Minimum Qualifications – Radiology Tech I High School Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and meeting the requirements for registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current license/certification in the state of practice. Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications At least one (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience. Minimum Qualifications – Radiology Tech II Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Minimum of two (2) years of radiology technologist experience. Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi‑functional team. Compensation Hourly rate: $29.14 – $44.94, adjusted based on experience.
