Patient Care Associate-PCA - Oncology (Part-Time)

Position Details Title : Patient Care Associate Location : Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO Department : Oncology Progressive Hours : Minimum 8 hours per week or 16 per pay period Shift : 12‑hour, days or nights Status : Part‑time Qualifications Experience : None required. Those with no previous experience will receive a 175‑hour training program to meet state requirements. Completion within 90 days is required to remain in the PCA position. Required Education : High school diploma or GED. Preferred Education : CNA/CPTC, enrollment in a healthcare career program, or current employee of Mercy. Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or equivalent completed within one month of hire, plus the completion of PCA competencies within three months of hire. Preferred Certifications : Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Minimum Physical Requirements : Push, pull, or lift 50 pounds regularly. Prolonged standing and walking each shift.
