Warehouse Supervisor

Role Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Plainfield, IN, responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of materials. This role coordinates shipping and receiving activities, manages inventory, and oversees material storage and movement to support customer and business requirements. The Warehouse Supervisor leads and develops warehouse team members, enforces safety standards, resolves operational issues, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to achieve service, delivery, and continuous improvement objectives.

• 2 to 4 years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, scheduling, coaching, and performance management abilities.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes, inventory control, and material handling operations.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and/or ERP systems.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience in manufacturing or automotive environments and familiarity with lean or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma or associate degree preferred.

Provides supervision and direction for warehouse operations to ensure compliance with customer requirements, safety standards, and company policies.

• Supervise daily warehouse operations and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Prioritize and direct department activities to meet customer and business requirements.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and communicate inventory or delivery issues to relevant departments.
• Maintain warehouse housekeeping standards and oversee facility and equipment upkeep.
• Coordinate activities with third-party warehouses as required.
• Train, coach, and develop team members while maintaining appropriate training records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

This position has direct supervisory responsibility and is accountable for managing the work and performance of warehouse personnel.
