Our Electronics Technicians play a vital role in installing, programming, maintaining, and repairing complex security systems in high-security environments. We ensure compliance with all codes, client specifications, and internal standards. Our structured career path offers continuous opportunities for skills development, enabling technicians to progress from foundational technical roles to leadership positions.### Job SummaryAs a Senior Security Systems Technician, you will take on the responsibility for independent field operations, technical oversight, and project leadership. This role requires a high level of technical expertise as well as strong organizational and leadership skills to manage project sites, ensure quality, and supervise field teams. You will be the key technical liaison between Active Security's project teams and our clients.### Responsibilities* System Installation & Maintenance: Expertly install, configure, and maintain complex security system components and infrastructure with minimal supervision, ensuring systems meet design specifications.* Project Leadership: Oversee site safety, quality, and adherence to schedules while ensuring compliance with design specifications and relevant authority requirements.* Team Oversight & Mentorship: Lead and mentor teams of up to five junior and intermediate technicians, guiding training, task completion, and alignment with project goals and standards.* Technical Leadership: Undertake complex troubleshooting and diagnostics, performing advanced programming and system integration tasks, and collaboratively resolving issues on-site.* Customer & Project Coordination: Act as the primary on-site contact for clients, effectively communicating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.* Documentation: Ensure thorough job documentation and compliance with industry and internal standards such as ISO-9001, CMMI II, and DCAA.### Qualifications* Education & Skills: Graduate with at least four industry certifications in electronic security and systems integration; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.* Experience: Minimum of 5 years in electronic security, focusing on systems integration, administration, and advanced troubleshooting in compliance with both government and independent standards.* Professional Development: A strong commitment to continuous education in compliance, industry advancements, complex programming, and project management best practices.* Travel Ability: Willingness to travel to project sites and stay overnight for varying durations.Physical Demands & Work Environment:* This role demands professionalism, adaptability, and strong organizational skills. Candidates must manage prolonged tasks, handle weights up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and operate in various environments. Expect exposure to different weather conditions and adherence to safety protocols. Maintaining company-issued tools, vehicles, and equipment is also required.General Requirements for All Levels:* Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills are essential to engage effectively with peers, supervisors, and clients.* Analytical Skills: Detail-oriented, with the ability to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently.* Screening Requirements: Applicants must pass a background check, possess a valid driver's license, and be eligible for U.S. Government Security Clearance.
