As a Logistics Specialist, you will support the movement, tracking, storage, and documentation of critical aerospace materials, equipment, tools, and repair parts. Your work will help maintain operational efficiency across aviation programs and ensure inventories are accurately managed and compliant with applicable regulations.

What You'll Do

Logistics Coordination & Documentation

• Prepare logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals.
• Support the routing, tracking, and coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintain records for equipment, components, repair parts, and technical documentation.
• Assist with accurate inventory tracking and material allocation within storage facilities.

Inventory & Supply Chain Support

• Support inventory control activities and maintain inventory databases.
• Monitor material availability and storage requirements.
• Assist with shelf-life management and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Help ensure proper stocking and organization of aerospace materials and equipment.

Shipping & Compliance

• Coordinate shipping activities using various carrier systems and databases.
• Learn and follow applicable state, federal, international, and import/export regulations.
• Support hazardous material handling and shipping requirements when applicable.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with logistics and safety standards.

Operational Support

• Support aviation-related logistics activities involving equipment, tools, and materials.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, when qualified.
• Assist with inspections and handling of regulated or sensitive materials.
• Contribute to a safe, efficient, and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Related experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
• Higher-level degree may substitute for experience requirements.

Required Skills

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel .
• Understanding of inventory principles and record-keeping practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (read, write, and speak).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds .
• Ability to frequently walk, stand, sit, climb stairs, and perform repetitive hand and finger movements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to inventory databases and inventory management systems.
• Familiarity with supply chain and logistics principles.
• Experience with aviation maintenance tracking systems such as AvPro .
• Experience using shipping platforms such as:
  • FedEx
  • DHL
  • UPS
• Understanding of shelf-life management practices.
• Forklift operating experience.
• HazMat Training and/or Certification.
• Background in:
  • Aerospace Industry
  • Defense Industry
  • U.S. Department of Defense programs
  • U.S. Military logistics or operations

Certifications

• HazMat Certification preferred.

Pay Details: $22.05 per hour
