During this undergraduate cooperative, you will work as a Manufacturing Associate in the Durg Substance (DS)/Drug Product (DP) Technical Operations within the Manufacturing Clinical Supply Organization. This team is responsible for supplying Amgen’s portfolio of clinical trials currently underway, globally. The co-op will be responsible for an improvement project and exposed to a dynamic clinical manufacturing environment. Project may include: Working closely across multiple subject areas, including Process Development, Facilities & Engineering, and Manufacturing to execute a diverse portfolio of projects Execute problem solving, root cause analysis and data visualization Leveraging standard Continuous Improvement principles to devise new solutions Identifying opportunities to optimize workflows and protocols to increase throughput in the manufacturing process Evaluate procedural improvement opportunities Conduct production floor testing, including coordination amongst multiple teams and disciplines Program Eligibility Requirements Expected completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing Expected continued enrollment in an accredited college or university following the internship program Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship program Must be available to work a part-time schedule What We Expect of You We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The creative and analytical individual we seek is a team player with these qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergrad internship or a co‑op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria: 18 years or older Currently enrolled in a full‑time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Degree concentration(s) in Engineering or Life Sciences Previous experience in biology lab Prior work or volunteering experience Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams Familiarity with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, Tableau) Good communication skills and writing skills Analytical thinking Proactiveness Project Management Experience What You Can Expect of Us As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
