Production Planner

Production Planner - ERP, Manufacturing

Based in Woburn, MA, we are an industry leader manufacturing advanced thermal management solutions for aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical, and other highly regulated industries.

We're seeking a Production Planner with experience in manufacturing planning, ERP systems, and supply chain coordination to support on-time customer delivery and efficient production operations. This role will work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Customer Service, and Quality teams to balance customer demand, material availability, and production capacity.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand, inventory requirements, and manufacturing capacity
• Analyze sales orders, forecasts, inventory levels, and material availability to create achievable production plans
• Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure raw materials, components, and critical parts are available to support production schedules
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address material shortages, equipment downtime, engineering changes, and customer priorities
• Collaborate with Manufacturing leadership to balance workloads, improve resource utilization, and maximize throughput
• Maintain accurate planning and scheduling data within ERP and MRP systems
• Participate in Sales and Operations Planning activities and production review meetings
• Support inventory control initiatives while balancing customer service and operational efficiency
• Generate planning reports and KPIs related to schedule attainment, inventory accuracy, capacity utilization, and on-time delivery
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean manufacturing, waste reduction, and process optimization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
• Experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, supply chain, materials planning, or operations coordination
• Experience working with ERP and MRP systems in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of production scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning, and material requirements planning
• Ability to analyze forecasts, production demands, inventory levels, and operational constraints
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and manufacturing reporting tools
• Experience within manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, defense, electronics, or engineered product environments preferred
