Steward Position

The Steward position at Corporate performs various janitorial and utility duties to ensure the safety and cleanliness of assigned areas while providing excellent teamwork and guest service. What you'll get to do:

• Sweeps and mops floors, cleans walls and floor mats, and removes refuse to maintain a clean environment
• Maintains the walk-in refrigerators, storage areas, tools, equipment, carts, and other areas/items as directed by the Supervisor or Manager on duty
• Participates in the dish area operations, returns items not sufficiently cleaned for a second wash, and changes and disposes of grease
• Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention, immediately notifying the Manager and completing an accident/incident report in the event an accident occurs
• Assists fellow associates as needed and reports any maintenance problems or other problem areas to the designated Manager on Duty

Skills and Experience:

• Must be able to follow verbal and written directions and work with industrial cleaning supplies
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and successfully multi-task several duties at one time
• Ability to possess sufficient strength to perform job responsibilities, exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds, and push/pull carts and other equipment up to 250 pounds
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4-hours in length and perform various activities such as constant standing, walking, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or overtime as required
• Must be able to work in a team environment and provide excellent guest service
• Ability to follow Company policies and procedures, safety and sanitation policies and procedures, and ensure compliance
