Overview:Laland Baptiste is looking for an enthusiastic Construction Inspector/Resident Engineer with a valid NICET Level IV certification to support construction supervision services on infrastructure projects in Queens, NY as part of our continuous recruitment process , for current or future project opportunities. We are looking for a highly experienced Resident Engineer with NICET Level IV certification to manage a multidisciplinary inspection team on a high-profile infrastructure project. This role demands technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration with agencies and contractors.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all construction inspection activities from NTP to close-out
- Supervise inspection staff and coordinate with designers, PMs, and public agencies
- Manage contractor performance, issue change orders, and process pay estimates
- Ensure project compliance with safety and quality standards
- Prepare executive-level reporting and project documentation
- NICET Level IV Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred (or 10+ years of related experience)
- Strong knowledge of NYSDOT standards, SiteManager, and infrastructure projects
- PMP or CCM certification a plus
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel daily
