About the Role

\n

Manning Kass has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Employment Litigation Attorney to join our Team in one of our Southern California offices!

\n

\n

As an Senior Employment Litigation Attorney at Manning Kass, you will play a key role in defending employers in a variety of workplace-related claims, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and other employment law matters. You will manage cases from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, taking and defending depositions, preparing motions, and participating in mediations and trials. This position offers a collaborative and dynamic environment where you will work closely with experienced attorneys to deliver exceptional client service and achieve favorable outcomes. Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Must be comfortable managing discovery, including propounding and responding to discovery, drafting and arguing motions, as well as taking and defending depositions.
\n
• Proactively managing communications with clients throughout the course of litigation.
\n
• Timely and accurate reporting to our clients, ensuring compliance with their case management requirements.
\n

Requirements

\n

\n

\n
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
\n
• You must be licensed to practice in the State of California.
\n
• 6+ years of Employment Defense Litigation experience is required.
\n
• Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, both verbal and written.
\n
• Experience handling discovery for complex matters, with substantial knowledge of evidentiary objections in responding to discovery.
\n
• Excellent time management skills and ability to manage and meet deadlines.
\n

• Salary Range $145,000-$190,000. Salary is commensurate with experience.
\n
