We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS) to provide in-person services to students in a school-based setting in the Silsbee, Texas area. Job Description

Position: Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS) (O&M) Location: Silsbee, TX and surrounding areas Schedule: Part-Time | School-Based | In-Person Pay: Competitive Hourly Rate + Weekly Pay

Responsibilities

• Conduct Orientation & Mobility evaluations and assessments
• Develop individualized O&M goals and recommendations
• Provide direct O&M instruction to students in school and community environments
• Collaborate with Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs), special education teams, administrators, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain appropriate documentation
• Support students in developing safe and independent travel skills

Qualifications

• Certification as an Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS)
• Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
• Texas licensure/credentialing requirements met, if applicable
