Overview Join the Heritage Home Service team as the Permit Coordinator at our Auburn, NH location Join the Heritage Home Service team as a Permit Coordinator at our Auburn, NH location. In this role, you'll support our residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical teams by securing permits, coordinating inspections, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and keeping customers informed throughout the permitting process. Your work will help projects move forward efficiently while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Schedule: This is an in-office position based in Auburn, NH . Our preferred schedule is four 10-hour days (4x10s) ; however, we recognize that scheduling needs vary, and alternative schedules may be considered during the interview process. What You'll Do: Permit Acquisition Research and identify permit requirements for residential service and installation projects based on local codes and municipal regulations Prepare and submit permit applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time Track permit applications, follow up with municipalities, and resolve questions or issues as they arise Maintain current knowledge of permitting requirements across the communities we serve Compliance Management Partner with trade managers, technicians, installers, and customers to address permitting and compliance-related issues Stay up to date on local building codes, permit requirements, and regulatory changes impacting residential home service projects Support process improvements that strengthen compliance and operational efficiency Documentation & Recordkeeping Maintain accurate and organized records of permit applications, approvals, inspections, and related correspondence Generate reports to track permit status and provide updates to internal stakeholders Prepare and organize documentation needed for inspections and ensure all required paperwork is readily available Communication & Collaboration Serve as the primary point of contact for municipalities, permitting offices, and inspectors Coordinate inspection schedules and site visits with customers and internal teams Communicate permit requirements, timelines, and status updates to ensure projects remain on track Collaborate across departments to support a seamless customer experience from permit application through project completion Customer Service Serve as a key point of contact for customers regarding permit-related questions and updates Proactively communicate permit status, inspection schedules, expected timelines, and potential delays Act as a liaison between customers and permitting authorities while ensuring all work remains compliant with local regulations Resolve customer concerns professionally and collaboratively to deliver an exceptional experience What You'll Bring: Experience in permit coordination, project administration, residential construction, home services, or a related field Knowledge of residential building codes, permitting requirements, and municipal approval processes Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple permits and project timelines simultaneously Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, municipalities, inspectors, technicians, and internal teams Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems and software Experience supporting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, remodeling, or other residential home improvement projects is a plus What We Offer: Up to 4% 401(k) Match Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Life Insurance 120 Hours of PTO Annually (available after 90 days) 48 Hours of Holiday Time Annually 20% Family Discount on Services Referral Bonus Programs If you're organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy working with customers, municipalities, and internal teams to keep projects moving forward, we'd love to hear from you.
