Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is actively seeking a talented Rail Systems / Catenary Engineer for employment within the New England region. Our expertise and global reach enable us to deliver high-quality solutions for our clients that pave the way for long-lasting benefits to society.Responsibilities and typical duties:Be an integral part of our WORLD CLASS RAIL DESIGN groupDevelop overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams and technical specificationsPerform quality control reviews and design checks of railroad projectsLead major tasksEnsure compliance with all federal, state & local regulations Overhead Catenary System (OCS)Serves as a project manager on mid-large size projectsCoordinates team and provides technical expertise for mid-large size projectsWill develop overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams and technical specificationsLeads technical client relationships related to design, construction and phasing of the work.Coordinates with multiple departments related to a projects scope of work.Mentors staff to develop a team to support work throughout New England and beyond.Strong analytical and communication skillsDevelop and maintain strong client relationships with clientsQualificationsMinimum RequirementsBA/BS in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Professional Engineer (PE)Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must have a Valid Driver's License and pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.Preferred Qualifications10 years' experience in railway systems (Overhead Catenary Systems/Traction Power).6 years of related experience in railway (overhead catenary systems, traction power, track).Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, GEOPAK, OpenRoads or OpenRailExperience working with Connecticut Department of Transportation, Metro-North Railroad, Amtrak, MBTA, or other passenger/commuter railroad agenciesWork on multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent written and communication skillsAdditional InformationSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this positionRelocation is not available for this positionAbout AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
