Lots of integrity and the focus is on doing the best job for the Company’s clients.Title: Charles River Trading Systems Engineer Location: Hartford, CT -Hybrid Salary: $145,000 – 165,000 +BonusThe senior engineer currently leading this area plans to retire in the next couple of years, creating a rare opportunity for someone to come in, work side-by-side with an experienced expert, absorb deep institutional and platform knowledge, and ultimately become a key long-term leader for the trading systems environment. This role will play a major part in the firm’s modernization initiative, including:• Migrating the Charles River platform from on-prem to SaaS/Azure

• Reengineering legacy integrations into modern API-driven services
• Building applications and workflows that integrate market and trading data into the platform
• Supporting mission-critical trading and compliance workflows used across a massive institutional investment operation

You’ll work closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Compliance teams, and Technology leadership in a highly visible role where your contributions will directly impact trading operations and platform evolution.The environment:• Extremely stable organization with very low turnover

• Understanding of investment trading workflows, compliance, and portfolio operations
• Experience with Charles River SaaS migrations, upgrades, APIs, or integrations is highly desired
• Development experience with C# or Python
• Strong understanding of SQL and enterprise integrations
• Experience supporting institutional trading platforms in regulated financial environments

Candidates with experience supporting comparable institutional platforms such as Bloomberg Terminal, Aladdin, or SimCorp will also be considered.
