Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Per Diem Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with RNFA) to provide comprehensive care to the Multi‑Surgical Specialty Team to meet the surgical, medical and psychosocial needs of our patients, implement and evaluate standards of care, and participate in research necessary to establish exemplary, evidence‑based care. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a team of over 900 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families, supporting the mission, philosophy, standards, goals and objectives of the institution and department. Role Overview: First and Second Assist, both open, robotic and minimally invasive, in the Operating Room on Urologic, GYN, Head & Neck, GMT, with eventual expectation to train and assist in other subspecialties. Collaborate with members of a multidisciplinary team. Provide comprehensive care to a variety of surgical patients. Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum. Key Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited PA program. NCCPA certification. Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure. BLS certification / ACLS certification. Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations RNFA. Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility). Related national NP certification. Minimum of 2 years of related clinical experience. Essential Qualifications: At least two years of APP experience as surgical first assist. At least one year of experience acting as robotics first assist. Proficiency with Intuitive robotic systems. Core Skills: A good decision‑maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward. Able to work effectively in an environment notable for complex, sometimes contradictory information. Adept at planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals. Effective at gaining the support and commitment of others by engaging them around your point of view and priorities. Flexible in your approach and demeanor to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances. Additional Information: Location: Josie Roberton Surgery Center, 1133 York Ave, New York, NY 10065 Hours: 13 hour per diem shifts flexed as needed. Shifts available Monday – Saturday (Hours flexed between 6:30 am & 10 pm). Reports to: Manager, APP Pay Rate: $88/hr.
