Line Cook

We are seeking a passionate cook to join the culinary team at Cambria Hotel Columbia Downtown. The role focuses on producing high quality food, maintaining kitchen standards, and collaborating with the chef to prepare menus that reflect seasonal availability. Responsibilities Assist the chef in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining. Maintain adequate production levels with the kitchen staff. Develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods (grill, sauté and fry). Use knives and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Recreate recipes accurately and consistently. Minimize food waste through cross utilization. Create workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment. Prepare ingredients (chopping, peeling vegetables, cutting meat). Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen. Ensure all food and other items are stored properly. Take responsibility for the quality of ingredients. Requirements Active Food Handler certification or the ability to obtain it. Willingness to work a variety of day, night and weekend shifts. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time.
