We are a deli sandwich & ice cream shop at the UTD campus in Richardson, TX.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working at an ice cream shop and/ or making deli sandwiches to join our team.

Join our dynamic team as an Ice Cream & Sandwich Artist, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming environment for every guest! In this role, you'll be the friendly face behind the counter, expertly preparing delicious sandwiches, scooping up ice cream for customers and ensure smooth cashier operations. Your multitasking skills will shine as you deliver exceptional customer service, handle food with care, and keep our place running efficiently. This position offers a fast-paced, lively atmosphere where your positive attitude and attention to detail will make a real difference in guests’ experiences.

Duties

• Prepare fresh sandwiches following established recipes and food safety standards.
• Scoop up ice creams and serve in a cup or on a cone.
• Make Milkshakes and Matcha drinks.
• Operate our super friendly and interactive POS system to take orders.
• Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and upsell menu items to enhance their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, food prep areas, and dining spaces in accordance with health regulations.
• Assist with food handling tasks including wrapping, packaging, and stocking ingredients.
• Support food industry best practices by managing food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food storage.

Qualifications

• Previous ice cream shop and or sandwich making experience is highly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math applications.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
