Job Description:

• Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow, promoting timely patient placement by following hospital policy for admission, discharge, and transfer.
• Participates in peer interviewing and peer review processes.
• Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.
• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives.
• Conducts initial patient assessments within expected timeframes, initiate consults as indicated, and identify patient/family teaching and discharge planning needs. Maintains safe practice by demonstrating unit-specific clinical competency and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Education:


• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Work Experience:


• 1+ years of recent and relevant experience [Required]
• 2+ years acute care nursing [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:


• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]


• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification [Required]
