Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and clinical goals
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Provide education and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers regarding therapy goals and home programs
- Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in North Carolina
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or eligibility
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Prior travel or contract therapy experience
- Familiarity with MDS documentation and skilled nursing facility compliance requirements
- Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment including modified barium swallow studies
- 35-hour weekly guarantee providing consistent and reliable hours throughout the contract
- 13-week contract offering a defined commitment with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a skilled nursing environment
