Overview As an Occupational Therapy Assistant you help patients get well by implementing occupational therapy programs and activities, following recovery plans, and delivering therapy treatments. You work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting patient goals and ensuring care is individualized and compassionate. Responsibilities You will: 1) Develop and implement therapy strategies with patients. 2) Monitor progress and update treatment plans. 3) Educate patients and families about home exercises and adaptive equipment. 4) Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other providers to coordinate care. 5) Maintain accurate documentation and assist in quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards. Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of practice.
