- High school diploma orthe equivalentrequired.
- Must have full knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting tomaintainsales records and reportsincidental to storeoperations. Must be a person with excellent character references and a well-developed sense of responsibility.
- One year of management experience,required.
- A valid driver's license and insurability isrequired.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must complete employees' work schedules. They must complete employee evaluations as needed. They also counsel, hire, fire, and train employees, only when manager and assistant manager are not available.
- Supervises the sales force and Sales Floor.Sellsmerchandise as timepermits. Attends to andsatisfiescustomer'sneeds. Handles customer complaints in a fair and impartial manner,coordinatingas necessary. Promotesspecial events.
- Receives and checks incoming stock and supervises checkouts and stock transfers. Checks condition and placement of stock in a clean, neat, and orderly condition.Suggests and maintains displays and advertising ideas and prepares and places signs in sales areas and Windows's solely responsible for wares dept. being clean, stocked and rotated on a daily basis.Must make sure merchandise is being marked to Goodwill Standards from the processing warehouse area.
- Trains and supervises store personnel andmaintainsprojected sales goals.
- RepresentsGoodwill in the area served, striving to enhance the Goodwill image through individual and group participation. May supervise solicitors and pick-up orders, including routing as authorized.
- Maintain records of store operations asrequired. Reviews and analyzes sales todetermineeffectiveness of methods used and adequacy of prices. Make recommendations to Area Manager and Vice President of Operations/Sales.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assures that the appearance of the store and premises is presentable at all times.
- Performs administrative and clerical details of store operation, suchas;preparing stock requests, ordering forms,bagsand other supplies, receiving, and disposing of mail, handling cash as directed by current procedures, etc.
- Responsible for safety and well-being for all employees.
- Safeguards the premises and material under his or her care at all times.Seeksto reduce the possibility of pilferage or burglary. Constantly watches for fire hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Greetscustomers.
- Adhere to all ethicalstandardsconfidentiality of records.
- Adhere to all safety policies andreportsviolations.
- Support missionstatementand activities of other departments.
- Support the accessibility of our services and facilities free of architectural, attitudinal, environmental, financial, communication, transportation,employmentand other barriers to person with disabilities and barriers to employment.
- Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays and at least two nights a week.
- Must be able to count all monies for store operations.
- Must be able tolift upto 50 lbs.
- Must be able tomake bankdeposits withowntransportation daily.
- When working with monies, safe and monies must be locked up at all times.
- Driving to the bank to ensure secure delivery of bank deposits.
- Other duties as assigned.
