Responsible for mixing, matching and applying paint to various surfaces, completing touchups and helping to coordinate large painting projects.Job DescriptionEssential FunctionsPreparation of surfaces to receive paint and other finishes and treatmentsInterior and exterior wall painting and repair Door and window frame paintingWall paper removal and wall board repairTape and mud drywallMatch paint and textureWood deck and furniture refinishing, painting and staining Ceiling grid and tile paintingEpoxy paintingBuilding paint log set upClean room paintingAble to patch and sand in a timely and efficient mannerSome knowledge or ability to learn brushing, rolling, taping and toppingAble to safely use powered equipment such as paint sprayers and power washersAble and willing to clean all equipment to include brushes, rollers, spray rigs, cup guns, texturing hoppersStrong customer service skillsKnowledge and SkillsHave basic painting toolsWorks well with others and follows guidelinesProvide proof of work status eligibilityReliable transportationValid driver's licenseComply with company safety policies and proceduresProfessional, precise and detail orientedEducation and Work ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED preferredJourneyman Painters - Minimum 3+ years experienceWork EnvironmentSafety glasses required while performing certain tasks Fast paced work environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments, and shop environments. Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, paint and noise.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds of office or facilities equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and ability to safely install rigging/lifting devices.
