Repair And Service Specialist

The Repair and Service Specialist is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of a variety of power plant equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems, as well as buildings and vehicles. This role involves completing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks. The Repair and Service Specialist reports to the Maintenance Manager and follows guidelines set by Plant Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide input to Maintenance Manager on technical plans and maintain relationships with other teams.
• Achieve performance targets by completing maintenance work orders as assigned.
• Maintain all tools and materials needed for assigned tasks.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, control, and mechanical systems across the plant.
• Perform maintenance on power plant systems, including electrical and control components, and operate Siemens T3000 software.
• Participate in training programs to support plant operations and Change Management.
• Report to Maintenance Manager as required.
• Support inventory management and procurement of parts and materials.
• Troubleshoot control, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Document maintenance activities and inventory usage in CMMS (Maximo).
• Provide technical guidance on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure plant systems operate effectively.
• Respond to system alarms and malfunctions, coordinating with supervisors for corrective actions.
• Identify and address potential system failures to optimize plant efficiency.
• Repair, maintain, and install various plant equipment as directed.
• Follow maintenance procedures and schedules accordingly.
• Perform various maintenance tasks including equipment operation, testing, and repair.
• Make necessary adjustments on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Operate plant equipment as needed.
• Assist with maintenance tasks during outage periods.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety policies throughout maintenance activities.
• Maintain a safe work environment and practices.
• Keep shop areas and equipment well-maintained.
• Contribute to safety meetings, programs, and initiatives.
• Adhere to safety regulations and programs.
• Supervise contractors on-site when required.
• Assist with plant grounds maintenance tasks.

High school diploma with technical training in power plant operations. Minimum 5 years of experience in power plant maintenance. Current First Aid & CPR Certification.

Technical Skills

• Interpret technical drawings and diagrams effectively.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment.
• Proficient in power plant equipment repair and maintenance.
• Certified to operate forklifts and other equipment.
• Proficient in CMMS (Maximo) and other computer tools.
• Skilled in using various computer software and tools.
