We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated LPC/LCSW to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling services to individuals, families, and groups. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, in an outpatient setting. The counselor will utilize various therapeutic techniques and approaches to support clients in achieving their mental health goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide counseling services using evidence-based practices, including but not limited to DSM-5-TR/ICD-10 guidelines.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions focused on behavioral health issues.
• Utilize specialized techniques such as art therapy and applied behavior analysis as appropriate for client needs.
• Address a range of issues, including child family counseling, gender issues counseling, and Christian counseling.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Stay informed about developments in the field of mental health counseling and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field from a CACREP-accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LPC/LCSW in Virginia
• Experience in outpatient settings is preferred; familiarity with geriatric populations is a plus.
• Knowledge of DSM 5-TR/ICD-10 coding and documentation standards is required.
• Skills in various therapeutic modalities, including behavioral health interventions and child and family counseling techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional growth within the field of mental health counseling.
