Specialty Lab Assistant- Full Time- 2nd Shift

Lab corp is seeking a Lab As sista n t to join our team in Tulsa, OK.

Work Schedule: 2nd Shift.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receive and sort clinical lab spe cim ens

• Prepare spe cim ens for testing and analysis 

• Scan and/or data entry of spe cim en and patient information

• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance 

• Troubleshoot any spe cim en related issues

• Replenish test bench supplies as needed

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested

• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent 

Preferred Qualification :

• Current or prior Lab corp experience

• 1 year or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital

• 1 year of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment

• 1 year or more of experience in a medical/clinical lab oratory experience

Additional Job Standards: 

• Comfortability with handling biological spe cim ens 

• Ability to accurately identify spe cim ens 

• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills 

• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet established turn-around times

• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time

• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
