Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities and limitations.
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, focusing on enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and electrical stimulation, to treat musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare providers, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to deliver comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs, proper use of adaptive equipment, and strategies for preventing re-injury.
• Document patient progress, treatment interventions, and discharge recommendations in adherence to all regulatory guidelines and company policies.
• Engage in professional development by attending workshops and pursuing relevant certifications to stay updated with the latest advancements in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The PTA will primarily work with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and degenerative conditions. Our patient population ranges from young athletes to elderly individuals requiring rehabilitation. The role requires a strong focus on personalized care, where the PTA will help each patient achieve their individual therapy goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAPTE-Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Possession of a valid California PTA license and an AAS in PTA degree.
• Strong clinical skills with a proven ability to perform effective assessments and treatments.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation. Experience working with diverse patient populations and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 50,000 to 70,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
