Job Title: MS/Tele Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: 2 Years Preferred License: SC License or Compact License Required Certifications: BLS Required; ACLS Required; NIH Preferred Must-Have: Tele competency required Previous charge experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in MS/Tele. The shift is 3x12s, working days from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5-6. Every other weekend is required. Floating between like units may be required to meet facility needs. Candidates with 2 years of experience are preferred. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must hold an active SC license or a compact license prior to starting. Certifications required include BLS and ACLS; NIH certification is preferred. Previous charge experience and community hospital experience are preferred, along with tele competency. The unit serves adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of 36. Patient diagnoses include diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, seizure, CVA, TIA, and chronic respiratory disease. The staffing team includes interdisciplinary support from various specialists such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. This role may involve assignments during hurricane season as part of emergency response teams. All time off requests must be submitted during the application process.
