Role Description The Bankruptcy Legal Assistant Paralegal is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. This role supports attorneys in managing Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters, including organizing client files, preparing and reviewing bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and related court documents. Daily tasks include gathering and verifying client financial information, maintaining case calendars and deadlines, coordinating client appointments, and communicating with clients, courts, and trustees regarding case status. The role also involves handling administrative responsibilities such as data entry, document filing, and correspondence, while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable procedures. The Bankruptcy Legal Assistant Paralegal works closely with the legal team to help deliver timely, clear, and compassionate service to clients. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law and experience supporting Legal Assistants in a bankruptcy or consumer law setting Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and organizing bankruptcy petitions and related filings Effective Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, court staff, and trustees; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Previous experience as a Bankruptcy Legal Assistant or Paralegal, preferably in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters is preferred High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Commitment to client service, discretion, and handling sensitive financial information with professionalism Associate degree, paralegal certificate, or relevant legal support experience in a law firm setting #J-18808-Ljbffr Keeling Gutierrez Debt Relief Attorneys
