Lead Customer Service Operator

Education Requirements: High School Diploma required. Experience: Switchboard or Customer Service experience preferred. Management experience preferred. Required Skills: Good communication skills, a good understanding of the English language, both written and spoken, ability to work quickly and accurately, ability to help customers in a friendly and efficient manner, advanced computer application skills required, basic understanding of telecommunication equipment and ability to troubleshoot/resolve issues, ability to establish and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the work at all levels with a focus on quality service to internal and external customers. Responsibilities include operating telephone switchboards and consoles to connect, hold, transfer and disconnect telephone calls, responsible for carrying out code response protocols, alarm notifications and overhead announcements, carry out other clerical, secretarial or receptionist duties as required, trains other operators on hospital telephone switchboard and related applications to assist callers to make telephone connections and to relay incoming, outgoing and inter-office calls, manages Switchboard staff shift schedules, manages the Provide on-call scheduling system, maintains a centralized source for information enabling operators to cover outages, emergencies and disasters, which effect disruption of telephone service to the hospital, performs QA studies and maintains logs to facilitate best customer service practices in regards to the department, assists with system administration, system security, system configuration, issue resolution, data mining, testing activities and project implementations under the direction of IS Leadership and Project Manager.
