About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Manufacturing & Quality to lead the transition from prototype to full-scale production of a next-generation commercial aircraft. This executive will be instrumental in shaping the manufacturing strategy, factory launch, and industrialization process. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the manufacturing strategy, leading the startup and ramp-up of a large greenfield manufacturing campus, and driving the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies. A key aspect of the role is to bring new thinking to aircraft production, with a focus on improving quality, cost, throughput, and scalability. The Head of Manufacturing & Quality will also be tasked with building a high-performance manufacturing organization, championing lean manufacturing, and ensuring manufacturability and design-to-cost alignment. Applicants for the Head of Manufacturing & Quality position should have approximately 15 years' aerospace or advanced manufacturing experience, with a strong background in senior leadership. The role requires a proven track record in launching major manufacturing operations, deep knowledge of lean production, factory design, industrial engineering, tooling, automation, and advanced manufacturing technology. A digital-manufacturing mindset and the ability to lead aerospace quality at an executive level are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in a startup or industrial environment and a strong network of manufacturing, engineering, automation, tooling, and technology talent. The role demands a leader who can build and scale teams, create a culture of operational excellence, and is comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial setting.
