Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an AI-Engineer for a 12–18-month contract position with our Fortune 500 banking client. NO C2C PLEASE LOCAL CANDIDATE ONLY NEED TO APPLY Rate: $65 - $70/hr W2. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Position Summary This is more of a SQL focus - it's going to relate to GenAI but with a focus on creating functions and stored procedures in Oracle. Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java applications at the company. Collaborate with teams in other departments to identify and prioritize requirements. Develop best practices for the company and participate in code reviews with the team and other stakeholders. Conduct technical analysis to arrive at solutions and create technological artefacts in response to production issues. Required Qualifications MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH ORACLE AI-SUITE - FUSION AI 8+ years of demonstrable experience in Python development. Additional Java is also a plus Strong knowledge of Python languages and web API development frameworks like Spring, rest APIs, and RESTEASY Working knowledge of database technologies (Redis and Oracle). Vector database is a plus, Linux OS and Windows. Microsoft copilot, AI foundry, copilot studio and Azure is a BIG plus. Demonstrable expertise in various technical areas, including programming, network administration, and software installation and configuration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with organizational capabilities. Experience with IT project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum. Familiarity with AI technologies (RAG and LLMs are a big plus). Our application is Python/Java but using LLM to deliver value. Understand Model development with Generative AI such as GPT, Llamaindex, langchain etc MUST HAVE A Bachelors or Master's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field. Desired Qualifications Relevant certifications such as Java Certified Professional (OCP). Knowledge of container or cloud computing technologies (Red Hat OpenShift container platform, Azure). Familiarity with agile software development methodologies (Agile or Scrum). Experience with CI/CD DevOps practices and tools (Git, Jenkins, and Docker).
