Job Description

This role supports incoming, in-process, and final inspections in an aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. You will ensure products and components meet applicable specifications, standards, and quality system requirements by performing detailed electrical and mechanical inspections and maintaining accurate quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspections on parts, materials, and components to verify they meet drawings, blueprints, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Conduct in-process inspections during manufacturing to ensure products conform to requirements at each stage of production.
• Carry out final inspections on completed products to confirm compliance with customer specifications, internal standards, and quality system requirements.
• Inspect electrical and mechanical assemblies using standard inspection tools, measuring equipment, and electronic test equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, schematics, and work standards to determine inspection criteria and acceptance requirements.
• Apply J-STD-001 standards and other relevant industry standards when evaluating soldering, wiring, and electronic assemblies.
• Work within ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems, following established procedures and documentation requirements.
• Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to monitor processes and analyze data to identify trends and potential quality issues.
• Review product documentation, including inspection records and test reports, to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Document inspection results clearly and accurately, including nonconformances, and support appropriate corrective actions.
• Use standard inspection tools and measuring equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances, and functional characteristics.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement.
• Maintain organization and control of inspected parts, including receiving inspection activities and parts inventory status related to quality.
• Communicate inspection findings and quality concerns effectively through verbal updates and written reports.
• Follow established work instructions and quality procedures while maintaining a strong focus on detail and adherence to standards.

Essential Skills

• At least 5 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Hands-on electrical and mechanical inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, schematics, and work standards.
• Knowledge of J-STD-001 standards.
• Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality documentation.
• Experience reviewing product documentation and ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Proficiency with standard inspection tools and measuring equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Eligibility to qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, aviation, or defense manufacturing environments.
• IPC-A-610 certification.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
• Experience operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
• Calibration experience with inspection and test equipment.
• Experience with electronic testing and use of electronic test equipment.
• Experience in parts inspection, receiving inspection, and parts inventory-related quality activities.
• Experience interpreting blueprint schematics and diagrams for electronics and mechanical assemblies.

Work Environment

The role operates within a combination of warehouse, office, and clean room environments in an aerospace and defense manufacturing setting. You will work around production areas, inspection stations, and controlled clean spaces, using standard inspection tools, measuring equipment, and electronic test equipment. The position involves regular use of computers and Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting, and requires adherence to established cleanliness, safety, and quality protocols appropriate for controlled manufacturing and clean room operations.

This is a Permanent position based out of Exton, PA.

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $56156.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Exton,PA.
