Responsibilities We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Innovation Intern to support the design, development, and implementation of automation and AI-driven solutions across our operations and technology teams. This role is ideal for a college senior or MBA candidate with a strong technical foundation and interest in applying emerging technologies (Python, AI, and Microsoft Power Platform) to real-world business challenges. The intern will work on high-impact initiatives focused on workflow automation, data integration, and AI-enabled process improvements. Key functions will include but are not limited to: Python Development Build and maintain Python scripts for data processing, API integrations, and automation use cases Support development of tools that streamline underwriting, operations, and reporting workflows AI & Prompt Engineering Design, test, and optimize AI prompts for business use cases (e.g., summarization, document processing, decision support) Assist in evaluating AI tools (e.g., Copilot, LLM-based solutions) for operational efficiency gains Power Platform Development Develop solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI Help identify opportunities to digitize manual processes and improve workflow efficiency Collaborate on low-code solutions that integrate with enterprise systems Process Automation & Integration Partner with business and technology teams to map processes and identify automation opportunities Assist with API-based integrations and data pipelines between internal and external systems Document technical solutions and support testing and deployment Collaboration & Communication Work cross-functionally with underwriting, operations, IT, and data teams Participate in agile-style working sessions, solution design discussions, and testing cycles Present findings, demos, and recommendations to stakeholders What You Will Gain Hands‑on experience building automation and AI solutions Exposure to real-world insurance operations and underwriting workflows Opportunity to contribute to enterprise innovation initiatives Mentorship from technology and business leaders Experience in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment Example Projects Automating data collection or reporting workflows using Python and APIs Building Power Automate flows to streamline processes Developing AI prompt libraries for underwriting or operations Creating apps or dashboards to improve team visibility Work Environment Hybrid or remote (depending on business needs) Fast‑paced, innovation‑focused team Qualifications Education Current undergraduate (junior/senior) or MBA student Preferred majors: Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field Technical Skills Proficiency in Python (required) Familiarity with APIs, data handling (JSON, CSV), and basic software development practices Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform preferred Interest in AI/ML concepts and prompt engineering Additional Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions Excellent communication and documentation skills Preferred Experience Experience with process automation or workflow tools Data analysis or visualization AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) Low‑code/no‑code platforms Additional Company Details We do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external recruiting agencies or firms.
