Registered Nurse (RN) - Float

Registered Nurse – Critical Care

Schedule: Days (7a-7:30p) with every other weekend and holiday rotations, plus 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks.

Assignment Details: Must be cross-trained for multiple units including Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER.

Requirements:

• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state.
• BSN required.
• Critical care experience is a must.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required through AHA or RQI system, and NIHSS. Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire, CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association and TNCC recommended within 2 years of hire.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
• Computer literacy, experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across various departments.
• Assess and interpret patient data to identify their needs and develop appropriate care plans.
• Monitor and manage patient's care in emergency situations.
• Promote teamwork and collaboration among healthcare staff to ensure quality care delivery.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health issues and treatment plans.
• Assist and support other nursing staff when floating to different units as needed.
