Lead Manufacturing & Safety Supervisor

Job Description You are hired as a Production Supervisor under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager. You will direct overall module operations ensuring production objectives are met at lowest cost while maintaining quality and delivery standards. Responsibilities Acts as safety leader, establishes policies and programs for a safe working environment. Manages employees: hiring, coaching, performance management of Master & Manufacturing Technicians, builds effective team for production, quality, on‑time delivery, and retention. Ensures completion of all required production paperwork, records, and Dayforce attendance documentation. Prioritizes, schedules, and delegates work to meet plant KPIs and customer specifications. Provides knowledge and training on every cell, interprets specifications, drawings, and orders. Maintains supportive work atmosphere and communicates with internal/external customers. Collaborates with Manufacturing Manager to meet plant goals, drive improvement, and make informed decisions on resource allocation and planning. Trains employees on processes and methods to meet quality, productivity, safety, and ISO/TS standards. Participates in internal and third‑party audits (IATF, ISO, IS13485) and ISO/TS planning sessions. Uses time‑management and leadership skills for problem solving and decision making. Participates in Continuous Improvement, Lean and 6 Sigma programs, updates Daily Direction Setting boards, and supports ongoing Op/Ex projects. Recommends preventive maintenance procedures and plans machine repairs to minimize downtime, and evaluates processes for improvement. Provides technical support, analyzes and resolves work problems with teammates. Maintains departmental supplies, tools, equipment, and orders as necessary. Inspects materials, products, and equipment for defects; monitors gauges and indicators. Conducts employee training on equipment operations, safety procedures, and maintains training matrices. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent and prior leadership experience. Associate’s degree preferred. Good computer skills and ability to learn new skills. One to two years of continuous supervisor training. Communication Skills Effectively communicates with employees, shares information, solves problems, and trains less skilled employees. Reads and interprets technical documents and writes standard reports. Mathematical Skills Adds, subtracts, multiplies, divides, uses fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations. Reasoning Ability Solves practical problems and interprets written, oral, diagrammatic instructions. Other Skills and Abilities Operates various equipment, including computers, precision measuring devices, and lifting devices. Knowledge of tooling, material characteristics, manufacturing practices, and ISO/TS quality requirements. Physical Demands Frequent sitting, talking, handling, occasional standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds. Work Environment Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and moderate noise. Protective Clothing / Equipment Safety glasses and shoes required; additional PPE as needed.
