Dry Needling Trigger Point Dry Needling is a safe and effective technique that certified physical therapists use to help reduce pain and improve muscle function. So, what exactly is a trigger point? A trigger point is commonly referred to as a "knot" in the muscle and keeps the muscle from functioning properly.


Using the recommended clean needle technique, your physical therapist will insert a filiform needle into the targeted muscle with the goal of getting a "twitch" response. While the twitch may cause a little residual soreness, research has shown that the "twitch" is an essential part of the needling process that helps to reset the muscle, reduce your pain, and improve your overall function. After needling is performed your physical therapist will provide you with individualized exercises to help the muscle return to its proper function.

Requirement description :

• 3+ years current experience Required
• Ortho experience required
• Previous traveler preferred

Profile Requirements:

• Work History
• Skills Checklist (pertinent to position), current to 1 year
• 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)
• License/Certifications - Must be uploaded with profile (NH license, BLS - Facility will not pend License/Certs)

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

• BLS (AHA)

STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :

• New Hampshire

ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : Active NH or Compact License is required at time of submission!
