Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct an array of ultrasound examinations, such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout each procedure, providing clear explanations and compassionate care
• Work closely in partnership with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver high-caliber diagnostic imagery
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment efficiently, ensuring prompt reporting of any malfunctions
• Document all procedures accurately while keeping patient records up-to-date in the electronic medical system
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and practices

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Preferably completed a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Needed

• Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
