Labor Relations Attorney

How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) This attorney position will provide Labor Relations support for the Delta Pilot and Dispatcher workgroups, to include contract administration, investigation support, and grievance/arbitration support. This position will work cross-divisionally, where needed, to achieve results. Provide legal and labor relations advice — Provide legal and labor relations advice, opinions and recommendations to leadership throughout Delta in a fast‑paced corporate environment Advise operational departments — Advise operational departments, particularly Flight Operations, on strategy and matters related to employment policies, labor law, labor relations, compliance, contract interpretation and administration, benefits and managerial training. Support grievance and arbitration processes — Support Delta in the grievance process and arbitration hearings under collective bargaining agreements. Advise on ad hoc labor matters — Advise on ad hoc labor‑related and employment matters. Support positive employee relations — Support and implement positive employee relations throughout the Company; help make Delta the employer of choice in the airline industry and foster Delta's long‑standing, family‑oriented culture. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Licensed to practice law in the U.S. with State Bar admission in at least one jurisdiction Strong analytical and strategic skills Strong leadership, negotiation, dispute resolution and problem‑solving skills Clear and concise communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to prepare and deliver sound legal and labor relations opinions Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials Minimum of 2 years experience in a law firm or equivalent in‑house experience, with a focus on labor and employment matters What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) Familiarity with airline industry and Railway Labor Act Sound business judgment Flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple wide‑ranging matters, conflicting deadlines, and new areas of expertise as business needs change Ability to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly Benefits and Perks to Help You Keep Climbing Ourculture is rooted in a shared dedication to living our values – Care,Integrity, Resilience, Servant Leadership, and Teamwork – every day, ineverything we do.
