Assistant General Manager/Head Golf Professional

Overview The Assistant Golf Professional will assist the Head Golf Professional in any and all golf operations to grow and promote the game of golf. The position’s main area of interest will be the golf shop and daily operations, including providing our guests with a memorable experience. Also transitioning into a side role of Tournament/Group Golf Sales Coordinator. Experience Required Relevant job in sales/customer service or prior golf shop experience. PGA Associate or Member in good standing. Essential Responsibilities Golf Responsibilities Greet guests as they arrive to the golf shop/facility Assist in managing golf operations staff including cashiers, player services, starters, and marshalls Manage tee times and groups Collect greens fees, rental fees, or other fees Develop and implement league/association play programs Assist with managing handicapping program Conduct golf lessons and clinics Assist with tournament responsibilities Assist with pace of play management Customer Service Continuous promotion of the golf course, services, programs, and experience provided Handle customer communications properly and in a timely manner Maintain a professional dress code and personal conduct at all times Merchandise Responsibilities Maintain a clean and organized golf shop Create pro shop themes and proper displays with merchandise along with the Merchandiser Create, develop, and execute sales promotions with the MerchandiserAssist guests with questions on merchandise or special orders Conduct monthly physical inventory and report to General Manager on results Lead product knowledge seminars for golf shop staff Benefits 401K Health Insurance with optional Dental & Vision Clothing Allowance Discounted Meals Lesson Income/Junior Camps PGA Member/Associate Dues Assistance Bonus Program Club Staff Deal PTO Career Growth Holiday Pay Pre-Tax Health Accounts #J-18808-Ljbffr
